My Films

During the years that CNN+ broadcast in Spain, I worked there as an editor, presenter, and writer. That adventure and my time working at Canal + left me with a passion for documenting what is happening in the world through audiovisual media.

In 2014, I began a documentary series that has taken me to many corners of the planet. I have filmed some documentaries in difficult circumstances due to the control of dictatorial regimes, war, the threat of organized crime, and jihadism. I have had to leave some countries prematurely, and in others I have been detained or confined. It has been worth it. And it continues to be worth it.

Walking Next to the Wall | Egypt, 2014

I traveled to Egypt, which had just experienced the so-called Arab Spring. For a few months, the Muslim Brotherhood was in power. I traveled throughout much of the country to document the persecution and discrimination suffered by the Copts, the Christians of Egypt. I had the opportunity to interview Islamic authorities. The country’s secret services assigned me an “escort” who did not make my work any easier.

Nashara | Lebanon, 2015

I arrived in Beirut a few hours after the jihadist attacks that had shaken Paris. The war in Syria had caused an avalanche of refugees. ISIS had taken over part of northern Iraq. I collected testimonies from refugees suffering from Islamist persecution.

One | India, 2016

For many Westerners, India is just an exotic country, the country of yoga. I traveled to the great subcontinent to document the terrible discrimination of the caste system that particularly affects Christians. I wanted to go into the mountains of the state of Orissa to collect the stories of Christian victims of a great massacre caused by Hindutva, the radical Hindu movement encouraged by the government of Narendra Modi.

Nineveh | Iraq, 2017

ISIS took control of Mosul in northern Iraq. It expelled all the inhabitants of the Nineveh Plains. I traveled to the area to visit the destroyed and vandalized Christian villages. I worked during those days while US troops, the Iraqi army, and various militias fought against ISIS.

Good Plan | China, 2018

Cuando vuelva | Palestine and Israel, 2019

Documentary series dedicated to Mikel Azurmendi, Jesús Carrasco, and José Ángel González Saiz. The Rimini Meeting commissioned me to conduct a series of interviews with the three Spanish writers.

Nicaragua levantará | Costa Rica, USA and Spain, 2024
Watch trailer

The documentary about Nicaragua is the only one I haven’t been able to shoot on location. I spent a few minutes in Nicaragua as an illegal immigrant, but I was advised to leave. Thanks to the testimonies of exiles in Costa Rica, Spain, and the United States, I can tell how Daniel Ortega’s repressive system works.

Lebanon Disarmed | Lebanon, 2025

After the war in September 2024, I traveled to Lebanon again to document how Shiites, Sunnis, and Christians live together.
